Do you write first drafts with a pen and paper, on a typewriter, or on your computer?

tynamite's avatar I write short stories on a computer, because I don't have to try so much to do those. Given the 6 step structure that all stories follow, especially short stories, writing them to be as long as 3 sides of A4 on lined paper, isn't too hard.

Introduction (to characters, scenery) --> Problem (is introduced)
--> Build up (of situation)--> Conflict (happens) --> Resolution (of the problem) --> Ending (usually happy)
Description, characterising, narration, etc - it's all very easy to do, now I know the 6 step structure.

But with novels I'll write with a pen and paper, so I can think about executing all the things I'll need to do properly, implementing them all at the right time, and take my work from concept to implementation.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
