What is the best way to truly find yourself, specifically your self identity and who you are as a person?

I am 19 years old and am a male, I have been trying to get in touch with who I am as a person, my soul, for 2 years now honestly. I never had this problem, it began when i was about 15 or 16, back then I knew exactly who i was and was confused as how anyone could "forget" or not know. I'm not completely lost, I mean I know who I am and then I don't it's weird, I would say I know me 60%, and 40% is just a blurr, I change with different people (I know everyone does but with me its more dramatic because I don't know any better) and I'm wondering what are the best way to get in touch with myself.

Get a piece of paper and a pen, and write down 8 good things about yourself, in regards to interacting with other people.

If you have trouble doing this, you should stop living the world inside your head, and instead try to live the world through other people.

That, and putting yourself in social situations within a group, so that you can evaluate yourself, and know your strengths and shortcomings.

If you find all this advice hard, find a trusted friend to help you carry out these tasks.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
