Is misogyny a greater hindrance to the progress of women in American society or is it women's pettiness and/or cattiness?

Which of the above actions are more detrimental to women's advancement? Or are they both of equal detriment?

tynamite's avatar If it is a problem for a women to be petty, so that it hinders them in life, then that says more about society itself, than the women themselves.

Just because something is a problem in society, doesn't mean that the actual thing is the actual problem itself. Maybe the problem is how the thing is treated.

So with that said, misogyny is a greater threat to American society and women; as being petty or catty isn't a problem that one should feel guilty, chastised, dehumanised, or made to be an outcast for.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
