tynamite's avatar Sadly this broad question cannot be properly answered, as there are different angles to why people form strong relationships with each other. Each answer you get will give you a different angle, but won't be able to give you a proper answer.

Extroverts get along better with introverts, and vice versa.

Extroverts tend to be much better friends with introverts, and vice versa. It's also more likely I think for extroverts to fall in love.
The explanation of why, is in my blog post that has 27 paragraphs, so you can ask for that.

People make friends with people who with similar traits

If someone has a character trait that you have, then that means that you can be friends with them. If they don't, you usually can't. Some people say they like to be friends with people who are different from them. I call those people misguided, as those very same people can't be friends with people who they don't share traits with, but they don't know that.

Unhealthy people seek flaws, and healthy people seek solutions to their flaws

People who are narcisstic, relentless, or have flawed behavioural traits, seek people who they feel are worse than them in a relationship. I do not know why this is. Some of those people seek people with low self esteem, or people with lesser intelligence.

Healthy people tend to seek one of the following things...

  1. Erratic people who find people keep them grounded. A good example is an idealistic person who likes old literature, with a realist person who likes video games.
  2. Extroverted people who find people who listen to what they have to say
  3. Introverted people who find people who accept them for who they are.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
