If you videotape a cop when being pulled over can he legally tell you to turn the camera off?

This is a follow-up question to How valid is the implied legal advice in Jay-Z's "99 Problems"?.

tynamite's avatar American police would be happy to let you know that filming them is illegal because of wiretapping, but if you truly understand the law good enough, you'll be able to get off in court with a good argument. The law isn't what they say it is. There are loopholes. Know your rights. The fact that you don't, allows you to be conned.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
