Update

New York Times deserves a mention for bringing simplicity in design and clarity in voice back. The only thing is, that their apology email is much better than their sales letter. The sales speak is annoying, so keep that mind when writing emails. You're not Apple.

I received this email in error, and I deleted it anyway at the first paragraph. I'm not from America so I don't have the benefit of knowing the brand of New York Times or properly what it is. They just weren't selling it to me, the paper. All they were selling is me to part with my money.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
