What does it feel like to regularly write in a journal or diary?

tynamite's avatar I have a blog online where I post about my life. I started to blog my diary online, because I wanted to Iook back on my life when I was older, for the fun of it. I don't mind who reads it, because I believe that being secretive about your life makes you sad.

What is my blog like?

I've been posting on it since 2003, and I haven't changed as a person since then. All that happened is that I learnt to take pride in myself, therefore care what others think of me. The blog begins with really short posts with deliberate misspellings of words to make them sound funny and an immature slant, but then as the years go on, the posts get longer and longer, and increasing start to talk about how I feel. I am a immature person. My Mum says I need to grow up and get some maturity.

The focus of my blog gradually changed from merely saying what happened in my life; to expressing how I feel, and the way I see the world. I've posted a really long blog post, that I'm using in a future answer on Quora. What qualities do you need to have to be loved?

What does it feel like writing it?

It feels the same as me writing down this Quora answer. It's nothing special. All I'm doing is typing the words that I think, as I do with of my many answers here. Actually posting on my blog is worse than posting on Quora, as my blog posts are paragraphs long, so I have to set myself the time to write in it. I'm a cynical person. I'm not going to get all wet about my blog.

What does it feel like reading it?

I find the old blog posts boring, as I have no interest in reading about what happens in my life. However I do find it facinatingly interesting, how little things can be so important at the time, and not now; not that there's anything wrong with that. I already know how I feel and how I think, so I don't need to look back on my blog to read about that again. All I do is look at the archive and pick out the good articles.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
