What are some basic things you've realized other people do completely differently than you?

For example, I spent my whole life under the assumption that everyone wipes sitting down, but found out that many of my friends stand up. Another example: I found out a friend of mine dreams in black and white.

  • I use a knife and fork differently to everyone else. For starters, I hold the bottom of the fork unlike others and have it in my right hand, even though I'm right handed.
  • I use spoons inside a cup of hot tea or coffee for a while, because I can't be bothered to wait for it to cool down. People say me drinking tea or coffee off a spoon is weird.
  • I use moisterising cream on my face like Nivea Creme. People say this is weird
  • I tie my laces so that the bows and stray lace, are big and easily visible when I'm walking down the street. Sometimes the stray lace goes further than the shoe and hits the floor, and sometimes one goes in while for the other shoe it's out. It took me a while to realise that others didn't tie their laces in this way.
  • I have a photographic memory. I never knew this wasn't normal until September. I've learnt that other people could think thoughts about people, and not know whether it came from a book or hear-say.
  • The world I live in, is inside my head; and the other people live the world through other people. I live in a bubble world and see things in black and white unlike others. This is why I have bad listening skills, and often don't understand others. This also makes me think differently than everyone else. I used to think the opposite way round, being skeptical instead of judgmental, just like you, but bad events in life quickly changed that. I can go back to normal sometimes if I want whenever I want.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
